The LATA Foundation has announced their support for ten core charitable projects in Latin America in 2020. The LATA Foundation  initiatives for 2020 have an emphasis on conservation, poverty relief, education and community development.

The LATA Foundation was set up by the Latin America Travel Association in 2007 to support grassroots projects throughout the region. These project are helping to transform lives, offer practical training and skills to empower local communities and support important environmental and conservation projects. Since 2007 the charity has raised over £460,000 for a wide range of social, humanitarian, conservation and environmental causes.

The LATA Foundation is entirely run by volunteers. most of whom have a background in the travel industry for Latin America. All proceeds raised from fundraising events, from supporters, travellers and from the travel industry are channelled directly to projects.
